The Academy for Journalists and Media Workers has started its work – the first training was dedicated to dealing with stress, trauma and professional burnout

With the implementation of the first training on the topic “Coping with stress, trauma and professional burnout”, the Academy for Journalists and Media Workers – T-AJM officially started its work (https://tajm.org.mk/). The training was held in an interactive atmosphere and aimed to strengthen the capacities of journalists to deal with professional challenges, especially in times of increased stress and uncertainty.
The President of the Association of Journalists of Macedonia (AJM), Mladen Čadikovski, welcomed the participants, emphasizing that the Academy represents a symbol of a new beginning and a platform for the development of even more professional journalism.
“This is where new generations of journalists will be built – professionals who know why they are here, who they work for and what responsibility to the public means,” Čadikovski emphasized.
The training included an interactive approach and practical exercises through which the participants were introduced to different types and sources of stress, learned techniques for recognizing and analyzing symptoms, as well as interventions in situations of psychological tension.
This training represents a significant step towards improving the psycho-social well-being of journalists and media workers, especially in conditions of increased professional challenges and uncertainty.
The training was implemented with the financial support of the European Union, within the framework of the project “Training-Academy for Journalists and Media Workers – T-AJM”. The content of the training is solely the responsibility of the Association of Journalists of Macedonia, and does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.
