Regional activities and meetings of the cameramen’s section of AJM in Veles

The section of videographers at AJM consisting of Risto Mishev, Zoran Dogov, and Adriana Jovanovska had a working meeting with fellow videographers in Veles.
At the meeting, many topics were discussed that affect fellow correspondents, their status, the conditions in which they work, and the experiences they face daily.
“In addition to the usual problems that our colleagues from Skopje are facing, like our colleagues from Skopje, correspondents and cameramen in local and regional media also face existential problems, with a tendency for this part of the community to disappear, i.e. television cameramen. The extremely low incomes make this job increasingly undesirable by our colleagues who resort to other forms of earning from their craft, weddings, etc., said Kire Pilichev, coordinator for the Strumica region within the Section of videographers.
It was emphasized by other colleagues that the cameramen-correspondents do not have shifts and working hours, which means that the opportunities for earning money from other work are also reduced. At the working meeting in Veles, attended by fellow cameramen from the Stip, Veles, and Strumica regions, the improvement of communication and cooperation between cameramen and journalists was discussed.
The meeting took place in a great atmosphere, where the colleagues chose their own coordinators who will represent them and inform them about the future activities of the cameramen’s section at AJM. Ivan Kamchev was chosen as the coordinator of the Veles, Kumanovo, Sveti Nikole, and Kavadarci regions, Kire Pilichev was chosen as the coordinator for Strumica, Radovish, Gevgelija, and Valandovo, and Viktor Efremov from Shtip as the coordinator for Shtip, Kochani, and Delchevo.
