Yesterday, on April, 04 2021 (Sunday) the colleague Ubavka Janevska, journalist from the online media “Duma.mk” reported incident in which police officer from SIA Veles took the mobile phone belonging to journalist Stefani Maneva from the web portal Duma.mk and deleted the photos from the mobile phone while she performing her task in front of the bridge “Gemidzii” in Veles. The incident happened while the journalist Maneva was working on gathering information for the news “A freight train ran over a man in the centre of Veles.”

The Association of Journalists of Macedonia (AJM) through its lawyers will act upon the request from Ubavka Janevska, journalist from the online media “Duma.mk” and will submit complaint to the internal control of the Ministry of Interior to conduct investigation for this case and if found exceeding the powers of police officers, AJM will insist on appropriate disciplinary measures.
