Immunization of media workers starts on Monday

The Association of Journalists of Macedonia (AJM) and the Independent Trade Union of Journalists and Media Workers (SSNM), in coordination with the Ministry of Health, last week conducted action for journalists and media workers to apply for vaccination against COVID-19.
758 people applied at AJM and SSNM call, out of which 631 meet the requirements for the first phase in terms of age limit, chronic disease, i.e. active journalists and media workers. These people will be contacted as soon as possible by representatives of the health authorities and will be informed about the exact date for vaccination, which will start on Monday in the “Boris Trajkovski Sports Centre” in Skopje.
The remaining 127 applicants who were mostly under the age of 40 or part of the administrative or media maintenance services will be considered for the second round of immunization of media workers, which is scheduled to take place immediately upon arrival of the next shipment of vaccines expected over the next few weeks.
At this call applied journalists and media workers from 110 traditional and online media from across the country.
In the second phase, all other journalists and media workers will be able to apply, as well as media employees who have interest in being involved in the immunization process.
Interested journalists and media workers, from Monday, April 5th to Sunday, April 11th will be able to apply through their newsrooms by submitting a list by e-mail: contact@ssnm.org.mk only by sending completed form that can be downloaded here.
The applications that are sent exclusively with the specified form will be accepted, in which the responsible person for contact from the editorial office should be marked. Persons who have already been applied should not re-apply. The obligation for information reliability remains at the responsible person indicated in the form for which it is necessary to provide contact information.
