CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: T-AJM SUMMER SCHOOL FOR YOUNG JOURNALISTS IN OHRID, 21–25 JULY 2026

The Association of Journalists of Macedonia (AJM), within the Training Academy for Journalists and Media Workers (T-AJM), is organizing a Summer School for young journalists and media workers, which will take place from 21 to 25 July in Ohrid.
Why participate?
This training will help in:
- improving and enhancing the knowledge and skills of journalists on several important topics such as safety in physical and digital spaces, investigative journalism, ethical reporting, and similar issues related to the protection of journalists and media freedoms;
- networking through the exchange of experiences and discussions with journalists and editors from other media outlets about common challenges they face within newsrooms.
Application criteria:
- A short CV in electronic format (Word or PDF).
- A short motivation letter (no more than 300 characters) stating why you want to participate in the Summer School.
- Applicants must be journalists aged 18 to 35.

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2026.
All participant costs will be covered, including transportation, accommodation, and meals. Preference will be given to journalists who have not previously participated in trainings organized by AJM.
Upon completion of the Summer School training, participants will receive a certificate of participation.
