AJM reacts to the unprofessional attitude of the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo towards journalists and media workers

The Association of Journalists of Macedonia (AJM) reacts to the unprofessional attitude towards journalists and media workers by the management of the Tetovo hospital, on the occasion of yesterday’s statement by the Minister of Health and the directors of the clinical hospital in Tetovo.
The hospital says that there were no official invitations, but they still admit that the hospital’s PR team made a mistake. According to public announcements by part of the media, when asked to the director of the hospital, Ilir Demiri, why a division was made and only the media in the Albanian language were called, he answered in a phone message that it was a failure of the public relations service of the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo.
Specifically for the event at the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo, the journalists who work for the media in the Macedonian language complain that they did not receive an invitation to the event.
AJM considers that such an unprofessional relationship is inadmissible. We ask that in the future the management of the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo does not make omissions of this nature, because journalists work in the interest of the entire public, which has the right to be informed.
