AJM Calls for an Urgent and Thorough Investigation into the Incident Involving the Vehicle of Naser Selmani

The Association of Journalists of Macedonia (AJM) has addressed the Ministry of Interior regarding the incident reported by our colleague, Naser Selmani. An unknown perpetrator damaged a tire on his vehicle, which was parked near his home in Skopje.

The case was immediately reported by Mr. Selmani to the nearest police station, where an official report was filed. AJM considers it of great importance for the competent institutions to carry out an urgent and thorough investigation. It is particularly important to make timely use of the possibility of collecting potential video footage, which could secure material evidence and facilitate the identification of the perpetrator.

AJM emphasizes the need for the case to be fully clarified and the perpetrators brought to justice. In this way, suspicions and speculations will be eliminated, while strengthening trust in the institutions, both within the journalistic community and among the wider public.
