A three-day workshop was held for the development of the new strategic plan of AJM

The Association of Journalists of Macedonia organized a strategic planning workshop for the next three years (2023-2026), and in the upcoming period, the proposed changes in the Association’s strategic plan will be defined and implemented.

During the three days in Ohrid, participants discussed the achievements so far, the future goals and challenges, opportunities, as well as the weaknesses and strengths of the organization. The conclusions that were made related to the support of AJM in the continuous building of the capacities of its members as before, engagement of regional centers in the activities of AJM, representation of the interests of its members before domestic institutions and international organizations, an increase of journalistic solidarity and cooperation, as well as the activation of the academy for journalists, which is a novelty in the Macedonian journalistic space.

Members of all the governing bodies of the Association participated in the workshop, that is, members of the Management and Supervisory Board, the Council of Honor, as well as some of the coordinators of the regional centers and the coordinators of the thematic sections of АЈМ.

The professional advisers, who are recognizable in their practice as consultants for strategic planning of member organizations in Macedonia but also in the region, were Natalija Bratuljevic and Besim Nebiu.

The workshop was realized within the project “Protection of Freedom of expression and Independence of the Media as pillars of Democracy in the Republic of North Macedonia” financed by the European Union.
